Silence - An Ode

Monday, October 19, 2015

When words slip and fall
Making voids, a soothing tale
It shapes no tone or a sound
Silence it is, devoid of tune

After words thrash each one out
Warring souls with words as arms
Like a mist that slowly spreads
A silent wave that gently rocks

It’s the glance of dears and nears
A nimble feel, saying I do care
Or that dream of lover’s hearts
A promise of one’s, eternal love

A choice in use of scholarly crowd
Route to ply for the little learned
The will to tame a towering rage
Flying minds, many miles to space

Call it names or a nameless being
It is gold, as sages preach
The simple truth to lead our way
Keep it rich, for days in lives
