A Wedding Prayer

A week to go, from this bit in time
For my little bro to tie the knot
To the one who shares his dreams
For the days, and lives to live
Zooming back to the slice of past
When he was born, our dearest one
The chubby one who cries in tones
To bring an air of blooming smiles
The little steps he took to walk
The gentle falls and the tries to win
And the way to reach my hand
To make me shed a lonely tear
The first few sounds for dad and mom
A special name for an ‘ettan’ at home
His joyful games and days at schools
As he paced through happy times
The rapid turns to get the jobs
And the rush through IT space
The countless times we meet for fun
The brother’s love in nonstop arcs
I want the days to blink through fast
When he weaves that phase of life
And there I wish, with all my heart
A
road of bliss, with sweets in place...
