Wishing my dear ones a
thrilling Onam!! Celebrate in style with those pearls of nostalgia - A floral
wonder adorning the floor created from flowers plucked by smiling kids, an
attire with a golden ‘kasavu’ dhoti reminiscent of happy sunshine, crackles of
laughter echoing the hallways, a sumptuous lunch of myriad flavors embellishing
a backdrop of green banana leaf, the satiated burp after another gulp of
payasam, the welcoming afternoon wind lulling us to sleep with a distant song
from a snake-boat after a ’vallasadya’, only to be woken by roars of ‘once
more’ by cousins taking turns on a swing, the small diversions by having
glimpses of channel programs on television, phone calls to catch up with dear
ones who missed to reach, snippets of social networking for wishes and
greetings, general chit chat all around and that hubbub of festivity,
completing another Thiruvonam!!!
