Read a few books in the past weeks. Started
with Tiger Hills, by Sarita Mandanna - This is
a picturesque narration of Coorg and
spanning across centuries,the book delves
into the lives of Devi, Devanna and Machu. I
liked the details and the beauty of description.

The Last Time I saw Tibet - This was an exclusive and a spiritual journey to Kailash and Manasasarovar - Sitting in my armchair, I could see the snow capped mountains and the eyes of Buddha as love flows freely from them. The yatra undertook by Bimal Dey at an age of 16, the book gave me a feel that is inexplicable.
The Snake Charmer was a quick read with the story revolving around Sonalal, a charmer who gave a divine play on his "been" and Raju, his snake swayed to the tune, then the remorse after he killed his beloved snake, affectionately referred as his eldest son. Though I liked some aspects while cruising through the book, it felt mundane towards the end and didn't quite like the climax.
