The FIFA world cup is progressing on to its final stage and becoming more and more exciting as days pass by. Now semi finals are the next excitement. Four teams are in the arena. This has been considered as the well organized match of all times. The Germans get all the kudos for making this a big event.
I’m disappointed to see my favorite teams go out. Well, the same feeling could be shared by millions of their fans. I used to see almost all the games. Though some of the matches were late in the night, I still managed to see them. And going to the office next day was painfulJ. I was found with sleepy eyes in the office!
There were quite a few football freaks in the office. So the main agenda for the morning coffee would be discussions about the previous day matches, the predictions, match analysis like true experts in the game! Turning back to my childhood, I never played football that seriously. This makes you people think, I may be into other sports. Seeing my physique, nobody would ever believe that I play any game.
I could recollect few incidents of playing football. It was in high school and some of us were included in the team just to make the numbers right! And the only role for me was to kick the ball towards the opposition when it came near me. I was never involved in brilliant dribbling of the ball or tackling and then taking it to score a goal. But I scored a goal once and that was a kind of memorable one.
Now, seeing some matches on TV gives me goosebumps. The way they play and the spirit associated with the game. Though some of my roommates give a slight threat by changing the channels, I could still get to see the games……Whatever it is, this happens to be one great sporting event!!!!
