First Onsite !
Thursday, June 01, 2006Each day passes by letting in new thoughts and emotions to life. The receptionist greeting with a smiling face on reaching the office, the vending machines for coffee and chocolate, everything seems to be different from the day to day office work that you see in India.
The training sessions are a bit boring with the usual sleep peeping in like an uninvited guest. Still I try my level best to grasp things since we have to do things back at offshore. The apartment is pretty near the office, hardly ten minuteswalk. So in the afternoon, we come home, have food and go back.
Since we don’t have a car yet, the issue of travel pops in when the stock of grocery gets over. Either we have to depend on others or take a cab, of which the second option is pretty acceptable.
Dunno why, I’ve been getting thoughts of near and dear ones, though cannot be termed as homesickness. When you are far away, memories linger in mind at times. Then I scribble down the thoughts like this......
We had a few trips to some places nearby which were truly beautiful. Seeing new places, meeting new faces, all seems to be wonderful.Still around three more months to go and I am excited about the new trips and also about the challenge of work that’s waiting!!!!
